World Clean Up Day 2020

Saturday 19 of September we did an amazing Underwater Clean Up for International Clean Up Day 2020.

Together with our friends of @scubalodgedivecenter and fellow scuba divers, we removed 114 kg of trash from Caracasbaai beach.

Scubaçao + Scuba Lodge = 114 kg of trash .

Thank you so much to all the volunteers that helped us today to clean Caracasbaai! We mainly took plastic cups and bottles but we also found some weird things like croc shoes.

Next time you go to the beach, please take your trash with you!

Superior Producer

Superior Producer is rated as one of the best wreck dives in the Caribbean, located between Double Reef and the entrance to St. Annabaai, this cargo ship sits upright on a sandy bottom at 30 m / 100 ft. The ship sank in 1977 and is covered with coral and sponges and has an openly accessible cargo bay.
The Superior Producer is Curaçao’s iconic shipwreck and it is one of the most popular dive sites in Curaçao.

Playa Lagun is wonderful. Of course, you have to do a long swim to the reef, which we generally do on the surface.

Playa Piskado or Playa Grandi

Playa Piscado or Playa Grandi is a beautiful dive site near the town of Westpunt in Curacao. Playa Piscado is covered with beautiful fields of corals and gorgonians. Snappers, trumpet fish, and turtles are permanent residents. The dive site is famous for its turtles.
Turtles are seen in the shallow water at about 5 meters. So it is a perfect place to snorkel and share with the whole family.

Porto Marie

One of the best and most famous dive sites in Curacao. You can make two dives, the reef on the left looks completely different from the reef on the right. Porto Marie has a nice snorkel area with reef balls and a lovely beach, which makes it suitable for the whole family.
