Sea Turtle Awareness

Do you love turtles? Would you like to learn more about them?

Get a chance to spot them in the wild!

This course will introduce scuba divers to basic sea turtle identification and conservation. You will learn about preserving the aquatic environment and about sea turtle of Curaçao.

For every Sea Turtle Awareness Specialty, we will donate $50 to Curaçao Turtles.

Our goal is to build a Sea Turtle Hospital here in Curaçao! And we hope to be able to get your help with it!

• Learn to identify a sea Turtle in distress.

  Double Reef

  Double Reef is an amazing dive sites that you would definitely want to do.
  It is one of our favorites from Curaçao.
  You will see turtles sleeping, turtles chilling, turtles swimming or even turtles posing for you underwater camera.
  Did we say that you will see turtles?

  Turtle Rock

  Turtle Rock is an amazing shore dive. You will get to see turtles everywhere but of course…just looking, never disturb their peaceful nap.
  It is a perfect spot to practice some navigation skills because to get to turtle rock you will need to follow the reef.
  Diver Tip: Always take your dive buoy! It is a popular route for boats and jet skis.

  Playa Piskado or Playa Grandi

  Playa Piscado or Playa Grandi is a beautiful dive site near the town of Westpunt in Curacao. Playa Piscado is covered with beautiful fields of corals and gorgonians. Snappers, trumpet fish, and turtles are permanent residents. The dive site is famous for its turtles.
  Turtles are seen in the shallow water at about 5 meters. So it is a perfect place to snorkel and share with the whole family.
