The first reef slopes down to about 14m / 46ft where it becomes a sandy bottom. From there you can see the second reef. The second reef starts around 18m / 60ft and drops down to 30 m/ 100ft and deeper.
The main attraction here is definitely Turtles! but also you can find hard and soft corals, lots of green and spotted morays, cowfish, angelfish, tangs, urchins, puffers, anemones.
Double Reef is located next to the MV Superior Producer with shore access close to the Water Factory dive site in Otrabanda. This shore dive is aptly named as Double Reef because of the smaller, shallower reef, followed by a sandy area and a larger reef plateau, but it is the second reef that holds most of the action. (turtles!)
